The yashica T4 is a 90’s dream. There's sensation that comes with shooting film. The tactile nature of handling the camera and loading the film gives us a sense of intentionality and mindfulness. It allows us to be more present while working.
The T4 lets us embrace the limitations of point and shoot photos and turn them into opportunity for creativity. It’s a fixed lens, let your legs be the zoom. One of the charms of shooting on film is the anticipation and surprise that comes with developing and viewing the final images, the more we shoot, the more we are surprised.
It lets us to embrace the technical aspects of analog and invites us to slow down and be more intentional. It's an opportunity to experience the artistry and magic of photography in its purest form. And this camera is hard to beat.
The T4 has a 35mm Carl Zeiss T* Tessar lens, know for its good image quality. The lens has a focal length of 35mm, a versatile perspective for capturing a wide range of subjects. The Zeiss optics are sharp.
One of the best features of the T4 is its autofocus. For the time, The camera employs an advanced autofocus mechanism that gives accurate focusing, even in challenging lighting situations. It also features a fairly powerful built-in flash with multiple modes, including red-eye reduction, fill flash, and flash off. the T4 has continuous shooting at almost one frame per second. We have found this to be the quickest point and shoot and use it more than any other p&s film camera. the T4 uses a single 123a battery. It also features an LCD panel that displays information like film count, battery status, and flash mode. The t4’s we use and own have been the most reliable point and shoot’s we’ve used over the past few wedding seasons.
